In My Mind

When people go into those booths in two years to do there part in the election process what factors
will motivate them. This election is going to be on of the most monumental in recent history. It will
be the first time that a woman and a minority have legitimate chance of becoming the president of
this country and free leader of the world. So both candidates will have a ready supply of support.
As a young black male I am expected to put my support behind Barrack Obama, but in reality I do
not know that much about him but , I feel comfortable with him because he looks like me because
he might have gone through what i have gone through. Maybe I'll go with Mrs. Clinton he husband
was President he did a good job so she should be just like him right? I think that is a problem that
so many Americans are plagued by each election. We feel an obligation to make certain choices
even though  they might go against our beliefs. Most Americans divide themselves into groups
and subgroups based on many social-economical differences

This up coming presidential election will have great bearing on the future of our country. It also
has a chance of being he most historic election in history with the chance of a woman or Black man
becoming the highest office in the land. It will mean the country will have serious choices to make,
but why do we make those choices? How much do certain loyalties to Race, Sex or party affiliation
factor into or decision. It seemed to be the case for the last two elections. Every Republican voted
for president Bush now his approval rating is around 20% my question is why did 40% of voters
mark him down in the ballots then? I like to think of the President as being the best and brightest
that our country has to offer and while many people complain about how stupid President Bush is
he has been ELECTED PRESIDENT NOT ONCE BUT TWICE. So who is stupid him or the people
who work up early Tuesday morning to vote Republican? It seems like the President knew exactly
what he was doing. Now are we as a country going to make the decisions with our minds or with
our ears?
